Happy Hostel Paris Young
Sunday morning a new lot of 1-day pass holders joined the convention eager to meet their idols. A new day of Q&A's, photo shoots, autographs, even tiny chit chats with Laurel Holloman, Rachel Shelley and Randy Harrison was under way. New friends were made, fans would share thoughts from the previous day, especially the Saturday night HalloQueen party which was a great way to end the first day.
Day 2 - morning Q&A's with Randy Harrison
It was Harrison's turn to start the day at PLanet BabyLon. He talked about how he was approached for playing Justin in Queer as Folk. His character was based on Nathan Maloney of Russell T. Davies' original British series of the same name.
Asked about the preparation of the love scenes, he explained that before they were shot, they would hold meetings to discuss how to make them more convincing and credible. As far as the dancing scenes at Babylon were concerned, it was difficult to shoot them without music, but also hilarious. The crew hired a go-go dancer to teach Harrison the moves.
Since the show ended, Harrison took a break from television and dedicated himself to theater and independent film production while living in NYC.
He starred and was executive producer of the short film Thinking... alongside his longtime friend, Marci Adilman, who also starred, written and directed the film. The official European premiere of Thinking... took actually place at this convention on Sunday after the second Q&A session of the day ended.
With a solid fan base in Germany and Italy, Harrison took the time to answer more questions during the autograph sessions and he even showed up briefly at the HalloQueen party the night before. After the Q&A finished Randy Harrison went back to his photo shoots.
