Victoria's Secret plays host to an annual fashion show that has evolved into an all American spectacular; glitz, glamor and the “wow” factor are all present in the Victoria's secret fashion show. However, the creation of such a fashion show takes month of work and planning, from runway design, the choice of the Angel's outfits and the creation of the infamous Angel wings that are featured in the show. Set design is not only thought out for the “live” show, which took place on November 10, 2010, but also for the televised show which airs on November 30, 2010.

The Creation of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Runway

Both the 2009 and 2010 Victoria's Secret fashion shows took place at the Lexington Armory in New York. The challenge to runway and set designers for the show was to fill a large space that was capable of holding armored tanks. According to Creative Director Rene Celestin, the 2010 Victoria's Secret fashion show was created with a more intimate feel which brought the audience closer to the runway. The theme of the 2010 Victoria's Secret fashion show was cabaret with gold and red as the predominant colors.
