The ghost hunting instructors chose the Waverly Hills Sanatorium, in operation from 1926-1982, with its significant track record of past paranormal experiences, to be the first on-site training for the crew of new cadets. They showed an FLIR thermal image of Jason and Grant’s 2005 investigation, where they caught movement at the end of a hall resembling a figure dashing across. The owner, Tina, gave a tour, sharing her own unexplained experiences of seeing apparitions that appeared and then disappeared, one a tall man, the other a white dog.
Major Changes to Ghost Hunter’s Academy Lessons
As they began instruction, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango noted that they had made changes to the new season’s Ghost Hunter’s Academy and with positive results. Last season’s episodes focused on the reality drama of the trainees bickering and finger pointing. While there was some actual demonstration of the process of ghost hunting, this season radically changed the presentation.
After an introduction of the eight cadets, Steve and Tango surprised them with a welcome from TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society)founder, Jason Hawes His greeting raised the interest level in the trainees and he reviewed the TAPS Credo with clear simplicity.
